HSV-Museum

Take a look behind the scenes of a Bundesliga stadium and experience the long and proud history of the HSV

On the 700qm exhibition area we introduce you to the more than 120 years of history of Hamburg SV. Using pictures, sounds and videos we take you from our roots in the centre of Hamburg to nowadays Bundesliga football in the Imtech Arena.

We start our history tour at our first home ground, the Rothenbaum stadium, where our club has its roots and continue to the Volksparkstadion, where we started our successful Bundesliga history.

Next we introduce you to legendary players of our club, where we have memorabilia as notes of our legendary team manager Ernst Happel, a jersey of Uwe Seeler and original drawings by Franz Beckenbauer on display.

In our cinema we show you a movie, which highlights the history of the club starting with its foundation in 1887 till present day football.
The second part of the museum documents the history of our football team from the successful 20s of the last century, the domination of football in northern Germany after the war to the time when we were one of Europe top clubs in the 80s ending with impressions of recent teams.

In the final area of the museum we present the impressive array of trophies that our club won through the years, including the European Cup and the Cup Winners Cup.

We have an English audio guide to our exhibition on offer.
