0-1 – battling HSV lose at home to Schalke

Leroy Sané scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark. The Rothosen fought their hearts out, laying siege to the visitor's goal, but just couldn’t score.

HSV lost their Bundesliga matchday 7 home game 0-1 to Schalke on Saturday evening (26.09.15). Leroy Sané scored the only goal of the game after an hour – during Hamburg’s strongest pressure period. Schalke were easily the better side in the first half but the Rothosen got on top after the break. The home side cheered on by another huge crowd inside the Volksparkstadion improved but despite a handful of close calls, just couldn’t breach the well-organised visiting defence.
