The losing team of the first proper training session of the winter training camp stay in Marbella had to jump into the ice-cold hotel pool as punishment on Thursday morning. Three teams played a game of five versus five using wide men. In the-ensuing penalty shoot-out, keeper oldie Sven Neuhaus turned out to be something of a penalty killer, saving the spot kicks taken by Mladen Petric and Gojko Kacar .The keeper disappeared under the weight of his team mates after winning the shoot-out. The losers took the cold plunge and it was all in good humour of course. Coach Thorsten Fink put his players through their paces much more than he had done the previous day. On Thursday (05.01.12), stamina-sapping weight training and work with medicine balls were on the agenda. Only the last part of the session featured work on the ball. The session which lasted a gruelling two hours, was only a few minutes old before Mladen Petric and David Jarolim were rolling around in agony. Both continued training after receiving treatment.
