Joris Mathijsen: We fought hard for this victory. Hertha gave everything trying to gather crucial points for their relegation battle.. We were tight at the back and finally managed to take our chance today. In the end we could have won by a higher score, but the way things are, we are very happy with this important home win here today.
Ruud van Nistelrooy: It was not an easy game. Berlin fought hard. I am delighted for the team that they took maximum points today. I had a great chance to make it 2-0. We allowed little to make it 2-0, which would have killed the game off. We also worked very hard for our three points.
David Rozehnal: We played well at times, keeping Hertha away from our goal. We deservedly took the lead. We had to face dangerousa situations at times during the second half. In the end we are happy with the points we took from the game today, and the fact that we have not conceded during three of our last five matches. We know that we have to improve, but we are on the right track.
Friedhelm Funkel: We should have taken our chances. HSV does not know why they won. We traied to spring the offside trap as they scored. Ramos had two gilt-edged chances and we were not given a penalty as Wichniarek was fouled. Everything was against us today.
Arne Friedrich: You cannot accuse the team of not giving everything. We tried everything, but sadly the poibnts remain in Hamburg. Maybe we were out of the kind of quality in front of goal which would have meant us creating better scoring chances.
Pal Dardai: The first half went to plan, until we unluckily conceded the goal. We dropped points here today. At the moment luck simply isn't on our side.
Fabian Lustenberger: We were not clinical enough today. We deserved to take a point here. Everyone battled hard, but we were not rewarded for our effort.
