Official: Jeffrey Bruma to stay at HSV

The 20 year old Dutch international will continue to play for HSV next season. Chelsea have decided against bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.

There were still a couple of days to go for newly-crowned Champions League winners Chelsea to bring Jeffrey Bruma back to London and end his loan spell with the Rothosen, as stipulated in the contract between the two clubs. But the Londoners have decided against it. HSV sport director Frank Arnesen confirmed: "Jeffrey will be playing for us next season." An important part of the club's squad plans for next season: "Jeffrey has developed well in the recent past, including at right back. In Hamburg he has shown that he can play in various positions. It was a clear step forward", added the Dane.
