Glasgow Rangers on their way to Hamburg

HSV are gearing up for a friendly game against the 54-time Scottish league champions Glasgow Rangers. On Tuesday evening (29.11.11, kick off 19.15 CET), the Scottish giants and their amazing fans visit the Imtech Arena in Hamburg.

HSV and their fans can look forward to a night of passion, as the blue, red and white side of Glasgow hit town. Both sets of fans have enjoyed a long-standing friendship, which they are looking forward to maintaining on Tuesday night.
The game is more than just a friendly for the Bundesliga hosts. Rangers lead the Scottish Premier League by four points, despite losing 0-1 at Kilmarnock at the weekend. HSV are hoping that the game against never-say-die opposition will be valuable experience as they prepare for their next Bundesliga clash at home to Nürnberg on Sunday (04.12.2011, 15:30 CET). Hamburg boss Thorsten Fink said on Monday: "Every one of our players is important to us and the Rangers game gives us chance to gather some welcome match practice, which will help us." HSV are in the middle of a long season and injuries to key players are always possible. That is why Fink welcomes the chance to play his players afgainst the best team in Scotland.
