1:1 - HSV settle for draw against Düsseldorf
Hamburger SV drew 1-1 with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the topspiel of the 2. Liga on Saturday. Robert Glatzel's early goal was not enough to grab the 3 points for the Rothosen.
HSV drew 1-1 (1:0) with Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday (16 October) on Matchday 10 in the 2.Bundesliga. The Red Shorts had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half through Robert Glatzel (19th), were well in the game and even played 65 minutes in excess after the red card against Fortuna's Edgar Prib (25th). Nevertheless, the visitors equalised in the second half through Robert Bozenik, who had been substituted shortly before (72nd), which ultimately ensured a fair draw.

Glatzel's dream goal...
HSV coach Tim Walter changed his team around with 3 players different to the 1:1 in Aue. In place of Kinsombi, Heyer and Wintzheimer. Suhonen, Reis and Meißner started, all of whom were supposed to provide new impulses, especially in the forward play. This was proven quite successful, although Fortuna also acted offensively and had some good actions in front of the Hamburg goal in the initial phase, but without being really compelling. This part was taken over by the Red shorts who, after two or three tentative attempts, took the lead in the 19th minute: Glatzel shone after a pass from Kittel and set himself up for the 1:0 in an outstanding manner. And this goal had an effect, because from then on the home side dominated the action, Fortuna were first knocked out and shortly afterwards also decimated. Prib was shown the red card after a bad tackle on Leibold, so that the visitors were down to ten players from the 25th minute onwards. But they only reacted, because until the break HSV dominated, especially on the right wing. The second didnt come, but the HSV fans sent their team into the break with great applause.

... not enough for victory
After the change of ends, the game flattened out somewhat. HSV had the bigger share of the game, but could no longer play as dangerous as at the end of the first half. On the other hand, the Düsseldorf side did not give up despite being behind and shorthanded, but even had the biggest and clearest chance of the second half after just under an hour, which should have meant the 1-1 under any circumstances. Narey had run alone from the halfway line towards the Hamburg goal, but Meffert saved with an unbelievable show of will in the greatest of emergencies and thus prevented the equaliser. The equaliser came in the 72nd minute, after the Düsseldorf team had substituted the preparer Klaus and the enforcer Bozenik two minutes earlier. This set the stage for a wild final phase in which both sides were in danger and the decisive goal could well have been scored, but in the end it was a draw that was fair on the whole and with which the Hamburg side could not really be satisfied.
