25,000 Fans for Nordderby and Pokal

The Senat in Hamburg has today decided to extend the spectator limit for the Nordderby on Sunday and the Pokal match against KSC.

Good news for HSV and its fans: at its meeting today, the Hamburg Senate decided that the spectator admission in the Volksparkstadion, which was originally capped at 10,000 until 4 March, will already be increased to 25,000 for this Sunday's North derby against Werder Bremen (kick-off: 13:30, live on HSVnetradio) and for the subsequent DFB Pokal quarter-final match on Wednesday against KSC (kick-off: 18:30).

"We are pleased that the constructive talks with the Hamburg Senate have led to a good result. We will deal responsibly with this new capacity cap and are very pleased that we can now give significantly more of our fans access to two such top matches," said HSV board member Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld, who had been in many talks in recent days to campaign for an early increase.

The 2G-plus rule still applies for access to the Volksparkstadion, and masks are also compulsory. Tomorrow, Wednesday at 10 a.m., the advance sale for the match against Werder will continue with ticket booking for members. Advanced ticket sales for the cup match against Karlsruhe will start - also for members - on Thursday morning at 10 am.
