DFL sets dates and times for matchday 22-28
After organising the first three games of the new calendar year in November, the next seven games in 2020 have now been set in stone by the DFL. All three home games are on a Saturday lunchtime, along with two away games on a Friday and Monday evening. The derby against St. Pauli will take place on Saturday 22nd February.
The Deutsche Fußball-Liga (DFL) published the exact dates and times for matchdays 22-28 in the 2. Bundesliga on Friday morning (20th December). After the first three games of the new year were scheduled in November, the following four games, starting with Matchday 22 away in Hannover, will all take place on a Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm. All three home games during the period will kick off at Saturday lunchtime, including the Hamburg derby against St. Pauli on 22nd February and the top-of-the-table clash against Arminia Bielefeld on Matchday 27. The final two of the away games of the period will take place on a Friday in Fürth and the clash with traditional rivals VfB Stuttgart Monday 6th April.
