Ewerton out with knee injury
The centre-back partially tore the MCL in his left knee during Saturday’s 3-0 loss in Aue.
Yet more injury woes for Hamburger SV and centre-back Ewerton, as the Brazilian partially tore the MCL in his left knee during the opening quarter of an hour of the loss on Saturday in Saxony. After a lengthy examination at the university hospital in Eppendorf on Monday (2nd March), the HSV medical team came to the conclusion that the centre-back had injured his knee and will be missing for an extended period of time. The 30-year-old, who moved to Hamburg from Nuremberg in the summer, was injured during a coming together with Aue striker Dimitrij Nazarov and tried to continue but had to be substituted in the 23rd minute. HSV wishes Ewerton all the best for his recovery.
