Friendly in Basel on the way back from training camp in Portugal
Hamburger SV have arranged a friendly against FC Basel 1893 after the completion of the club’s winter training camp in Portugal. The last game before competitive football resumes will take place on the 19th January.
HSV’s winter travel plans are now set in stone; the Rothosen will take a slight detour on their way back to Hamburg from Lagos, stopping off in Basel to take on the 20-time Swiss champions FC Basel 1893. After a week in the Algarve from the 12th to 18th January, Dieter Hecking’s charges will travel to St. Jakob-Park on Sunday 19th January for the last proper test of the winter break before the 2. Liga gets underway again on the 30th January with the visit of 1. FC Nürnberg to the Volksparkstadion.
Before take-off to Portugal, the preparations for the second half of the season begin with a friendly against another attractive opponent, namely FC Schalke 04. The current fourth-placed team in the Bundesliga travel to Hamburg on the 10th January, with kick-off at 6:00pm.Tickets are already on sale, between €10-20.
