Looking forward to a full Volkspark!

More than 50,000 tickets sold for HSV's first home match of the season, matchday tours of the Volksparkstadion can also be booked again - secure tickets now and be there for the home opener!

After the 2-0 away win in Braunschweig, HSV will welcome F.C. Hansa Rostock to the Volksparkstadion for the first home match of the 2022/23 season on Sunday (kick-off 13.30). The anticipation for the home opener is enormous, as the team and fans have forged a very special bond with each other in recent months. Moreover, in life as in sport, "There's no place like home". The oft-cited home advantage can also be backed up statistically: last season, 443 points were achieved at home by 2.Liga clubs compared to "only" 389 points away from home. HSV also advanced to a home power in the past season, retaining 33 points at the Volksparkstadion and thus ranking fourth in the home table ahead of the promoted teams from Gelsenkirchen and Bremen. The aim is to build on this in the new season, ideally at the start of the home season.

Tickets still available

Coach Tim Walter's team can look forward to a packed Volkspark: 23,000 season tickets were sold in the run-up to the season, and more than 50,000 tickets have been sold for the home game against the Ostseestädter. This is the fourth time in a row that HSV has broken the 50,000 spectator mark - preceded by the DFB Pokal semi-final against SC Freiburg, the last home match of the 2021/22 season against Hannover 96 (57,000 spectators each) and the relegation return match against Hertha BSC (55,000). The last time there was such a crowd was in the final spurt of the first 2.Liga season in 2018/19, when the home games against Aue, Leipzig (DFB Pokal), Ingolstadt and Duisburg attracted more than 50,000 fans each. Those who don't want to miss out on this footballing party can still secure tickets. Most of the seats still available are in the east and west stands. In addition, there are still a few seats available in the South Stand and in the HanseMerkur Family Box.

Matchday tours bookable

HSV is also offering the popular matchday tours again this season, for which a valid ticket to the match is required. Three and a half hours before kick-off, the 90-minute tour starts with a guided tour of the Volksparkstadion. Covered VIP areas, cameras at the edge of the pitch and the sight of a perfectly prepared pitch allow a unique look behind the scenes, which is only available in this form on a home match day. The stadium tour is followed by a guided tour of the HSV Museum with the tour guides to immerse yourself in the more than 130-year history of HSV and to get even more in the mood for the upcoming match.

All information about the matchday tour is available here.
