150,000 members. One club. Forever HSV.

Since hitting the 100,000-member mark back in October 2023, the HSV community has been growing at a breathtaking pace. Within the less than three years since then, a further 50,000 fans have bolstered the club’s membership base. It represents a development that shows starkly just how much energy and togetherness defines our club – from the Volksparkstadion, to the more than 30 sports branches, and everywhere where HSV is etched into fans’ hearts.

Hamburger SV club president Henrik Köncke described the huge significance of this milestone: “A membership of 150,000 puts HSV up there with the strongest communities in all of German sport. The members are the heart of this club, and they make an immeasurable contribution to our positive development. This number shows just how much HSV means to people in Hamburg and beyond. We’re incredibly grateful for this support.”

HSV board member Eric Huwer added: “150,000 members – that’s not just an arbitrary number, that’s what our HSV means. Our club brings people together from across generations – in our sporting divisions, in the Volksparkstadion, in Hamburg and indeed beyond our city. So many people consciously choose to come with us and contribute to HSV. It’s a symbolic moment that we feel deeply here, and it only serves to confirm that which we already knew – the greatest strength of this club is the people that make it.”

Whether in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, along the North Sea coast, in the south of the country or on the other side of the world, the togetherness within our HSV is a bridge that connects people across generations and beyond borders.

In order to visually commemorate this special moment, a message was sent out on the river Elbe – the flowing heartbeat of our city of Hamburg. It serves as a symbol of the strength of our 150,000 members and of the unwavering support that holds up our HSV.
