It’s finally back underway. After the five-week summer break, the ball will be rolling once again in Hamburg. Performance tests will take place on Thursday and Friday before the players take to the training pitch on Saturday morning at the Volksparkstadion. There, the fans can look forward to seeing the likes of David Bates, Manuel Wintzheimer and Christoph Moritz. However, Christian Titz and his coaching staff will also be looking forward to seeing the likes of Lewis Holtby, Aaron Hunt and Julian Pollersbeck out on the training pitch once again. Also, some of the players from the development squad will train with the first team like last season. The likes of Morten Behrens, Momo Kwartend and Josha Vagnoman will all have the opportunity to impress with the first team. Also, the likes of Alen Halilovic and Pierre-Michel Lasogga will return to Hamburg. However, World Cup participants Albin Ekdal, Filip Kostic and Gotoku Sakai will not be there as well as internationals Mergim Mavraj, Bobby Wood and Kyriakos Papadopoulos who have extended leave before rejoining training.
