Hamburger SV will play their next high-profile friendly at the Volksparkstadion during the upcoming international break, taking on Hajduk Split on 15 November (kick-off at 3pm). So far, 44,444 tickets have been sold for the fixture against the Croatian club, steeped in tradition and Mario Vuskovic’s youth club. This marks a symbolic milestone, reflecting the centre-back’s shirt number 44. Following the completion of his four-year doping ban, Vuskovic will be eligible to play again in the friendly against Split.
Following their friendly against close friends FC Copenhagen (2-0), another emotional occasion awaits HSV and their fans at Volksparkstadion. “This friendly is above all dedicated to our fans and gives us an opportunity to say thank you,” HSV board member Eric Huwer said when the fixture was announced. “They have played an immensely important role in enabling us, as a club, to support Mario throughout the past four years. None of this would have been possible without their support.”
Ticket prices for the fixture range from €10.44 (standing) to €25.44 (Category 1) for adults. The final digits of the prices also symbolically reference Mario Vuskovic’s shirt number. Tickets are available online.
