Adrian Fein called up to the German under-21 national side

The 20-year-old midfielder is part of Stefan Kuntz’s 23-man squad for the first time, and will be looking to represent his country against Greece and Wales during the international break.

After an impressive start to life in Hamburg, HSV’s 20-year-old midfielder Adrian Fein has been rewarded with his first-ever call-up to the German under-21 national side during the upcoming international break. After the end of the previous under-21 cycle with the European Championship in June and July, a new cycle is underway with players born in 1998 or later. DFB coach Stefan Kuntz’s squad is made up of three of the team who came runners-up in Italy over the summer, as well as 19 new faces, including Fein. The road to the next European championships begins in Zwickau on the 5th September with a game against Greece, before the squad travels to Wrexham on the 10th September for a match-up with Wales. Fein managed one appearance for the German under-20 side, after featuring seven times for the under-19 team and four times for the under-18 German contingent.
