DFL announce details for Bundesliga matchdays 1-6

On Tuesday afternoon (11.7), the German Football League (DFL) announced exact dates and kick off times for matchdays 1-6 for the 2017/18 season. The Rothosen were given three Friday one Saturday, a Sunday and a Wednesday game.

Three Friday one Saturday, a Sunday and a Wednesday game. That is the plan handed to HSV by the DFL for the opening six matchdays of the 2017/18 season which begins next month with a home game against FC Augsburg on Saturday August 19th (3.30 PM kick off). That game will be followed by no less than three Friday night games starting with a trip to Cologne (August 25), followed by Champions League participants and Bundesliga runners up RB Leipzig at home (08.09) and then Hannover 96 (September 15). Those games kick off at 8.30 PM.

The home game against Borussia Dortmund takes place at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg on Wednesday September 20th, kicking off at 8.30 PM, before the Rothosen round off a tough week away to Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday September 24. That game at the BayArena kicks off at 6.00 PM.
