DFL publishes kick-off times for matchday 2-8
The DFL have released the exact dates and times for the first eight matchdays of the 2. Bundesliga 2020/21 season. The Hamburg derby is one of four evening matches for the Rothosen.
On Friday afternoon (21st August), the DFL confirmed the kick-off times for the first eight matchdays of the new 2. Bundesliga season. Including the opening game of the campaign against Fortuna Düsseldorf at the Volksparkstadion, the Rothosen’s fixtures are divided equally, with two games each on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday lunchtime and Monday evening over the first eight games of the season.
After the opener against relegated Düsseldorf on the 18th September, the first away game sees a visit to the other side who dropped down from the Bundesliga in Paderborn, another evening game on the following Monday (28th September). HSV fans will be particularly keen to see when the Hamburg derby will take place, with the first match-up between the city rivals raking place on Friday 30th October at the Volksparkstadion.
