DFL releases fixtures for matchday 27-29
On Thursday (14th May) the DFL publishes the exact dates and times for the remaining three 2. Bundesliga fixtures in May. The away game in Stuttgart on a Thursday evening takes place either side of home games on a Sunday at the Volksparkstadion.
The coronavirus outbreak had meant that no fixtures were played in the 2. Bundesliga for over two months. The DFL have published the updated fixture list on Thursday (14th May) for Matchdays 27-29, meaning all games have been scheduled until the end of May. All three fixtures will be completed in the space of a week, with table toppers DSC Arminia Bielefeld travelling to the Volksparkstadion on Sunday 24th May for a 1:30pm (CET) kick-off. Four days later the Rothosen travel to fellow promotion hopefuls VfB Stuttgart for a 8:30pm kick-off on Thursday 28th May, before a busy week of 2. Bundesliga action is rounded off with the visit of Wehen Wiesbaden to the Volksparkstadion on Sunday 31st May, with kick-off again at 1:30pm.
The Rothosen get their season underway again on Sunday away to SpVgg Greuther Fürth (kick-off 1:30pm CET). The last two games of the season are also already set in stone, with all teams in the division kicking off at 3:30pm on Sunday 21st June (HSV away in Heidenheim) and Sunday 28th June (home to Sandhausen).
