Done deal! Andre Hahn joins HSV

The 26 year old striker has signed a contract which expires on June 30th 2021.

The Rothosen made another swoop on the transfer market this week, securing the services of Andre Hahn from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach. The agreed four year deal is of course subject to a medical: “Andre is a fast moving striker who will help us with his flexibility. He offers us alternatives up front. He also has a superb mentality and an absolute will to win”, explained HSV sport boss Jens Todt before adding: “We are delighted to have been able to secure the services of such a seasoned Bundesliga player for our club.”

The move marks a return to the Volksparkstadion for Hahn, who was under contract at the club between 2008 and 2010 where he played in the junior Bundesliga as well as the reserves. Hahn went on to play for third division outfits FC Oberneuland (2010), TuS Koblenz (2011) and Kickers Offenbach (2011-12). From there he moved to top flight club FC Augsburg where he made his only appearance for Germany on May 13th 2014 after making their provisional squad. Hahn then joined Gladbach for the 2014/15 season and played on the European stage for them. The striker made 116 Bundesliga appearances for the “Foals” as well as nine Champions League and Europa League games.
