Final international games before #FCBHSV
There are still a few international ties left to be played before the Rothosen can ramp up preparations for their Bundesliga clash with FC Bayern München.
Bundesliga matchday three – and a trip to the Allianz Arena to face FC Bayern München – draws closer and closer for HSV. Before the meeting with the German record champions can take place, some of the Rothosen need to tackle a final round of games in this month’s international break. Tuesday evening will see Alexander Rössig-Lelesiit’s Norway U19s take on Slovenia, while Fabio Balde’s Portugal U21s and Luka Vuskovic’s Croatia U21s take on Scotland and Turkey respectively. These games will bring the first international break of the season to a close.
The focus on Monday evening was on World Cup qualification, as Switzerland continued their dominance in Group B with a 3-0 victory over Slovenia, albeit without Miro Muheim, who was an unused substitute. Daniel Peretz had a far more eventful evening with the Israeli national side, and was unable to stop an injury-time winner for the Italians, as his side lost 5-4. Last but not least, Comoros, with Warmed Omari at centre-back, beat Central African Republic 2-0.
In the first round of fixtures, Omari played the full 90 minutes in Comoros’ 3-0 defeat to Mali, while Aboubakar Soumahoro also played the whole match for the France U20 side, as they beat Spain 2-0 in a friendly. Rössig-Lelesiit started his side’s 4-2 victory over Sweden, while Giorgi Gocholeishvili came on as a substitute in Georgia’s 3-2 defeat in World Cup qualifying to Turkey. The trio of Peretz, Muheim and Balde also celebrated victories in the first round of games, with the first two both winning their respective matches 4-0, while Balde celebrated his Portugal U21 debut in their 5-0 victory over Azerbaijan.
