Finn Barkowsky signs first professional contract with Hamburger SV
The 18-year-old attacker has been part of the Rothosen academy since 2023 and will continue to wear the shirt in the future.
HSV academy player Finn Barkowsky has extended his stay at the club and signed his first professional contract. The 18-year-old attacker joined the Rothosen from FC Hansa Rostock’s academy in 2023.

“In Finn, we have secured a promising young talent whose attacking qualities really stand out. Despite still being eligible for the U19s, he has already shown what he can do for our U21s and taken important steps in his development,” said Christoph Rohmer, HSV’s academy director and head of sports strategy. “We’re delighted to continue supporting his progress and firmly believe that HSV is the right place for him to keep developing both as a player and as a person.”
Born in Crivitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Barkowsky has represented HSV at U17 and U19 level, while he also made the step up to the U21s last season, recording one assist in 10 Regionalliga appearances. He has also trained regularly with the first team since last October. Barkowsky has now committed his future to HSV.
