Friendly Match at the Volkspark: HSV to Host FC Copenhagen

More than two decades of friendship between the supporters and two traditional northern European clubs: Hamburger SV’s return fixture against FC Copenhagen will be all about the long-standing bond between the two sides. Following the friendly in July 2025, when HSV visited FC Copenhagen at their legendary Parken Stadium, the Rothosen will soon welcome their Danish friends to Hamburg for another encounter.

The two teams will meet at the Volksparkstadion on October 4 at 3:30 p.m. In their last meeting, Hamburg narrowly lost 1–0 to the Danish record champions. Fans can once again look forward to an exciting contest on the pitch. In addition to 90 minutes of football, there will be a varied programme of activities featuring several German-Danish events.

What makes this fixture particularly special is the friendship between HSV and FC Copenhagen supporters, which began in European competition 21 years ago. What started with contacts between individuals and small groups has since developed into a strong and lasting bond between the supporters of both clubs.

The backgrounds of the two clubs also contribute to this unique connection: Hamburg and Copenhagen share several similarities, including their maritime heritage, northern European identity and cosmopolitan outlook.

Together with their Danish friends, Hamburg can therefore look forward to a special afternoon of football and a reunion celebrating their shared northern European ties. Anyone who does not want to miss the occasion can secure tickets from tomorrow.

Ticket information at a glance:

• General ticket sales begin on August 20 at 10:00 a.m.

• A full overview of ticket prices will be available on the HSV website and in the Ticket Shop when general sales begin. Adult tickets start at €10, concession tickets at €7.50, and children’s tickets at €6.

• Each person may purchase up to eight tickets.

• FC Copenhagen’s active supporters will be located in blocks 10A, 11A and 12A in the South Stand.
