Three HSV men were in action for their national teams on Monday (05.09). One made his debut while the other two scored.
Three HSV men did well on international duty on Monday night: Michael Gregoritsch made his debut for the Austrian senior national team. The 22 year old attacking midfielder was brought on for Marc Janko in the 77th minute in the 2-1 win over Georgia.
Filip Kostic was instrumental in Serbia’s 2-2 with Ireland in a further World Cup qualifier. The nippy winger made it 1-1 on 62 minutes. Rothosen youngster Mats Köhlert got his name on the score sheet for the German under-19s. It was not enough though as their arch rival Dutch counterparts won 2-1.
The last Rothosen men to play during the international break are experienced duo Emir Spahic and Johan Djourou. Saphic and Bosnia-Herzegovina face Estonia in Zenica, while Djourou and his Swiss national team take on newly-crowned European champions Portugal in a friendly.
