Hamburger SV host their New Year reception in the Volksparkstadion

Together with Lagardere, HSV held their traditional New Year reception on Tuesday evening (8th January). This gala was held in the VIP area of the Volksparkstadion with around 130 guests invited.

HSV chairman Bernd Hoffmann welcomed the guests to the event, which included the entire current HSV squad and coaching team. Club legends and partners were also invited alongside DFB president Reinhard Grindel and Hamburg city counsellor Christoph Holstein. Holstein made a speech in which he spoke about the upcoming tasks, challenges and aims of the club as well as the unity of the HSV family.

Volker Greiner, vice-president of the North and Central Europe department of Emirates, emphasised the value of the city of Hamburg for the airline as well as the company’s thirteen year partnership with HSV. After a meal, HSV head coach Hannes Wolf gave a short speech about his time so far at the club and his work in charge of the Rothosen. It was a very successful event for everyone involved at HSV.
