Hamburger SV loan out Matti Steinmann

The 24-year-old joins Danish Superliga side Vendsyssel FF until the end of the season.

Matti Steinmann follows Christoph Moritz to become the second HSV player to leave on loan this deadline day. The 24-year-old will spend the rest of the season at Danish Superliga side Vendyssel FF. Steinmann, who came through the HSV youth ranks between 2009 and 2014 and is under contract until 2020, has only made three appearances this season and had expressed a desire to leave for more playing time. “For a young player like Matti, who battles his way back into the first team last season, it is important for his development to be playing as much as possible," told HSV sporting director Ralf Becker. "For this reason we have allowed him to make this move to Denmark and we wish him all the best."
