Hamstring: Filip Kostic out for a month

The Serb looks likely to be sidelined for up to a month, a scan revealed in Hamburg on Saturday afternoon, the day after the 0-2 Bundesliga home defeat to RB Leipzig.

Bitter news for the Rothosen: 24 year old Serbian winger Filip Kostic sustained a serious injury during the matchday home defeat to Leipzig. He tore a hamstring in his left thigh and is expected to be out of action for a month. Kostic is the latest name to be added to head coach Markus Gisdol’s ever lengthening list of “walking wounded”. Key duo Nicolai Müller (cruciate ligament surgery) and Aaron Hunt (torn hamstring) are already on it. Gisdol is without his three top scorers as preparation for his side’s tough matchday 4 trip to Hannover next Friday night (15.09.17, 8.30 PM).

The team at HSV.de wish Filip a full and speedy recovery.
