HSV loan Anssi Suhonen to Östers IF
The 24-year-old midfielder has moved on loan to the Swedish first-division side until the end of the calendar year.
The Rothosen have loaned Anssi Suhonen to Swedish top-flight side Östers IF until the end of the calendar year. The 24-year-old Finland international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at SSV Jahn Regensburg, will now move to play in the second half of the Allsvenskan, which runs from the end of March to the start of November. Östers IF, in their first season back in top flight, are currently in 15th place and are hoping to avoid relegation. “Anssi naturally wants to play lots of football, which is important for his development as a player. This loan move gives him the opportunity to get just that in Sweden’s top flight, so it’s a sensible deal for all parties,” explained director of football Claus Costa. HSV wish Anssi Suhonen, who joined the club’s academy in 2017 and has made 52 appearances for the first team, all the best for his time in Sweden.
