HSV sign Daniel Peretz
The 25-year-old Israel international has moved to Hamburg on loan from FC Bayern to reinforce the Rothosens’ goalkeeping department. Kuntz: “We’re over the moon that Daniel, with all his international experience, has chosen to join us.”
Hamburger SV have completed the signing of Daniel Peretz from FC Bayern. The 25-year-old keeper will move to Hamburg from Munich on a season-long loan deal for the 2025/26 campaign and improve the Rothosens’ goalkeeper unit. “After Matheo’s move, it was clear to us that we needed to do some business in the goalkeeper position,” said HSV board member for sport Stefan Kuntz, explaining the rationale for the transfer. He added, “Last season proved how important it is to have a good group of keepers. That’s why we’re over the moon that Daniel, with all his international experience, has chosen to join us.”

Peretz played seven matches for the German record champions who brought him to Munich from Maccabi Tel Aviv in his native Israel in 2023. Now, the Israel goalkeeper, who has played for his country at all youth levels and made seven appearances for the senior team, wants to prove his ability in Hamburg. “Daniel is a complete goalkeeper who defends his box with courage and who has an excellent mentality,” noted director of football Claus Costa, highlighting the 1.90m shot-stopper’s strengths. “Our talks with him were pleasant and productive from the outset. After signing him, we have exceptional depth in the goalkeeper position and are hoping that the lads will push one another to be on their A-game.”
After completing his medical at UKE Athleticum and signing his contract at the Volksparkstadion, Peretz made his way towards the dressing rooms to introduce himself to his new teammates and take part in his first training session under goalkeeper coach Sven Höh. “For me, there’s no time to lose. I can hardly wait to get started and get involved in my first team training session tomorrow,” explained Peretz who will wear the number 26 shirt for the Rothosen. “I’m really honoured that I have the chance to be part of this massive club. Our main goal is clear – we want to stay up. I want to play my part as an absolute team player and make the fans happy.”
