HSV SIGN WINTZHEIMER

THE FC BAYERN U19 FORWARD HAS JOINED HSV ON A FREE TRANSFER AND SIGNED A FOUR YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE CLUB.

Alongside preparations for the final two games of the Bundesliga season, HSV have been working on strengthening the squad for next season. In addition to David Bates from Glasgow Rangers, the club has now welcomed its second signing: 19-year-old forward Manuel Wintzheimer has completed his medical and signed a contract until 2022. FC Bayern’s U19 goal-getter, who has played in 46 competitive games for the Bayern U19s, the reserve team and the Germany U19s, scoring a total of 41 goals, has come from Munich on a free transfer.

"We are delighted that Manuel has decided to join HSV. He is dangerous with both feet in front of goal – a fantastic attribute, which, along with his personality, completely won us over," said HSV squad coordinator Johannes Spors. Wintzheimer is equally delighted to be taking on this new challenge in Hamburg: "The talks were all positive and I’m very pleased to have signed my first professional contract. The club, the stadium, the fans – I’m looking forward to everything," said the 19-year-old.
