HSV to face RSC Anderlecht at Volksparkfest 2019

Reunion with former player Vincent Kompany

HSV fans can be especially pleased this year, as Die Rothosen will face Belgian record champions RSC Anderlecht at 13:30 CEST on the day. Not only will they be able to see their new look side run out at the Volksparkstadion for the first time, but also the game will mark a reunion with former defender Vincent Kompany, who is the new player coach of the Belgian side after eleven years with English champions Manchester City. The former Rothosen defender, who wore the jersey between 2006 and 2008, is full of anticipation ahead of the return. “I’m looking forward to being back out on the Volksparkstadion pitch and greeting the fans. The game is a very important part of our season preparations. HSV is a fantastic and traditional club which I was able to be a part of for two years.”

There will be events for young and old all day, starting at 10:00 CEST. Around 50 different attractions and stands are being set up for all the family, whilst young fans will be able to have fun on the bouncy castle, test their shooting skills or pit their wits against others at full-size table football at the HSV-Funpark. At 13:00 CEST the attractions close due to the match. They open up again from 15:00 CEST to 19:00 CEST.

Two-hour-long autograph session with HSV squad

Unlike in previous years, the team presentation will not take place on a stage, but rather in the stadium ahead of kickoff. Another highlight is on the agenda this time around, as there will be a two-hour-long session in which fans can get autographs from all players and representatives of the club. Therefore, after the game, there will be plenty of time to meet your favourite player and take home their autograph as a souvenir from this year’s Volksparkfest.
A varied program is in store for the 5th Volksparkfest, something that can’t be missed, regardless of age!

The best thing: entry into the Volksparksfest and the autograph session after the game are free. Tickets for the friendly match against RSC Anderlecht are now available at the HSV-Onlineshop and in HSV-Fanshops. Adult tickets are available from 10 €, children tickets from 6 €.
