HSV to face SK Rapid in pre-season friendly in Vienna

As part of their preparations for the 2026/27 season, Hamburger SV will face Austrian giants SK Rapid. The Vienna-based club will be HSV’s first friendly opponent for this summer, with the match set to kick off at 19:00 CEST on 18th July at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna. Ticket information for HSV supporters will be announced shortly.

SK Rapid finished fifth in the Austrian Bundesliga Championship Round last season and subsequently qualified for a European play-off, locking in their place in the UEFA Conference League qualifying round with a victory over SV Ried. This summer, the club is also celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Allianz Stadion.

The fixture on 18th July will see HSV reunited with former player Louis Schaub, who made 12 competitive appearances and scored once for the Rothosen during the second half of the 2019/20 2.
