HSV to hold pre-season training camp in Denmark – presented by ENGEL
Danish company ENGEL Workwear has upgraded its status from co-partner to partner and will present HSV’s first pre-season training camp ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, taking place in Helsingør from 8th to 11th July.
A Nordic setting awaits Hamburger SV as the club heads to Denmark for its first training camp of the summer in preparation for the 2026/27 season – presented by ENGEL Workwear. The Danish workwear specialist and HSV have expanded their partnership ahead of the new campaign. From 8 to 11 July, the HSV first team will be based in Helsingør, where preparations for the new season will gather pace. The squad will stay at the Marienlyst Strandhotel, which is currently hosting the Danish national team, including Albert Grønbæk, who recently signed a long-term contract with HSV. HSV supporters will have the opportunity to watch training sessions up close during the team’s stay on the Danish coast. Further details regarding HSV’s pre-season schedule will be announced in due course.

Partnership expanded
Having previously served as a co-partner of Hamburger SV, ENGEL Workwear has now strengthened its commitment to the club by becoming an official partner. The family-owned company and HSV share a number of core values, including a proud heritage, a passion for hard work and strong Northern European roots. In addition to presenting the training camp, the partnership includes TV advertising boards and a sustainability-focused event at the Volksparkstadion on 23rd June. ENGEL Workwear will also enjoy a visible presence throughout the upcoming season, with HSV’s pitch maintenance team set to be equipped with the partner’s functional jackets. Responsible for caring for the playing surface during half-time, they will showcase the quality and durability of ENGEL Workwear products in action.
“We have taken our partnership with HSV to the next level and are delighted to become an official partner of the club from next season,” said Lasse Drews, Country Manager Germany at ENGEL Workwear. “This was a very conscious decision because we identify completely with the club’s values, traditions and the path it has chosen to follow.”
HSV board member Eric Huwer also welcomed the expanded partnership: “HSV stands for tradition and passion – just like ENGEL Workwear. We are two organisations that know how to channel northern ambition into success, as last season demonstrated. We are not afraid of hard work, and neither is ENGEL’s functional clothing. I’m looking forward to continuing our collaboration and, in particular, to our training camp in Denmark.”
“It is fantastic that we have been able not only to extend but also to expand our partnership with ENGEL Workwear,” added Johannes Haupt, Executive Director Team HSV at Sportfive. “ENGEL Workwear is a partner that stands for the same values as HSV: passion and hard work. That shared foundation makes the partnership particularly authentic. Our northern roots and strong sense of tradition connect us even further – both in Hamburg and in Denmark.”
