Johan Djourou is to remain the captain of HSV. The decision was announced by head coach Bruno Labbadia ahead of training on Wednesday. His vice captains will be keeper Rene Adler and Emir Spahic. The trio belong to the team representatives which also includes Aaron Hunt and Dennis Diekmeier: “It was according to the wishes of the team”, explained Labbadia. Djourou was Rothosen skippert last season. Until now the seasoned defender has played 81 Bundesliga gameas for HSV, 27 of those were as captain.
