Kai Rabe joins HSV as goalkeeping coach

Kai Rabe has joined HSV as a goalkeeping coach, with the 38-year-old coming from Karlsruher SC.

HSV appointed Dieter Hecking as the club’s new head coach on Wednesday 29th May, and he brought Dirk Bremser with him as his assistant coach. Hecking’s coaching team has been further bolstered today with the appointment of Rabe. The goalkeeping coach has a UEFA A-license, with ten years’ experience in the job, and having spent the last eight at Karlsruher SC. “In Kai Rabe, we have an experienced professional to work with our goalkeepers,” said Jonas Boldt. “Kai will bring some new ideas to our daily training sessions and develop our goalkeepers further, so we’re very happy to welcome him to HSV,” he added. Rabe himself also couldn’t wait to get started: “I’m looking forward to this new, exciting phase and the challenge tied in with it. It’s now about giving everything so that we can achieve our goals together.”
