More than €76,000 raised during Soli-Shirt initiative

With the money raised from the sales of the Soli-shirts, Hamburg businesses will be supported who are struggling due to the coronavirus lockdown restrictions. With financial help from the HSV family, they could at least recuperate part of their lost earnings.

Around a month ago, together with the active fan scene, HSV begun selling ‘SOLI-shirts’ for a good cause. All of the net income from the sales of the t-shirts were to be used to help kiosks, fan pubs, restaurants and many other independent Hamburg residents associated with HSV who are in financial difficulty due to the coronavirus lockdown measures. A strong message to send out at this time, that once again shows the solidarity within the HSV family!

It’s even more satisfying that the initiative can be seen as a clear success as it comes to an end! The net income from the t-shirt sales was a whopping €76,298.40, which has been distributed to a number of affected parties. Thanks to the numerous t-shirt purchasers, the businesses were able to recuperate some of the income that is missing due to home matches without supporters as well as the lockdown restrictions on the gastronomy sector in Hamburg. Some of the owners who received financial help are currently using the time without customers to renovate their premises, another reason to look forward to your favourite HSV pub once the virus has passed!

HSV and the active fan scene would like to thank all of the fans who bought a SOLI-shirt and played their part in making the initiative so successful. Nur der HSV!
