Narey follows in footsteps of Dörfel, Noack and Stürmer with first goal
Khaled Narey joins the likes of Gert Dörfel, Rudi Noack and Klaus Stürmer following Sandhausen goal.
Khaled Narey scored HSV’s first 2. Bundesliga goal in the history of the club yesterday, opening the scoring in the seventh minute away at Sandhausen. By doing so, the 24-year-old wrote himself into the club’s history books, joining the likes of Gert Dörfel, Rudi Noack und Klaus Stürmer. The three HSV legends are members of our “first goalscorers” club.
In August 1963, Gert Dörfel scored die Rothosen’s first ever Bundesliga goal in an away game at SC Preußen Münster. Even earlier, in September 1935, Rudi Noack scored our first DFB-Pokal goal against Werder Bremen. HSV went on to win the game 5-4 and book their spot in the next round. As far as our first European goal is concerned, you don’t have to look any further than Klaus Stürmer. The attacker put us 1-0 up against Young Boys Bern in November 1960; the first in a 5-0 rout. Khaled Narey is the latest player to add his name to our list of firsts.
