Noah Katterbach extends contract and joins Braunschweig on loan
The 25-year-old has signed a new contract with the Rothosen and will spend next season on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig as he looks to get regular minutes again.
Hamburger SV have extended Noah Katterbach’s contract and will send him on loan to second-tier side Eintracht Braunschweig for the 2026/27 season.
“Noah has not had an easy time with us over the past two and a half years. Even so, it has been impressive to see the way he has fought his way back after all those setbacks and was also willing to help our U21s in the Regionalliga,” said HSV sporting director Claus Costa. “It is important for Noah to play regularly again and get back into his rhythm. We are therefore happy to accommodate his wish for a change. We wish Noah all the best for his loan spell in Braunschweig.”

27 competitive appearances for HSV
The 25-year-old initially joined HSV on loan from 1. FC Köln for the second half of the 2022/23 season, before signing permanently for the Rothosen in January 2024. Due to injuries, the former Germany youth international made just 27 competitive appearances for HSV, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
“After last season, it is really important for me to get consistent minutes again. I’m pleased that a solution has been found and I’m now looking forward to a new challenge next season, which I’ll be taking on with plenty of energy and excitement. I’ll obviously continue to follow HSV from afar and wish the team every possible success,” said Katterbach on his contract extension and loan move to Braunschweig.
