Omari out until 2026
Centre-back Warmed Omari suffered an ankle injury in the game against Union Berlin. Tests have confirmed that Omari will now be out for a number of weeks. Fabio Vieira, meanwhile, will now be slowly increasing his workload.
In a blow for Hamburger SV, centre-back Warmed Omari is set for a spell on the sidelines. The 25-year-old, who had started all six competitive games for the Rothosen so far this season, suffered a lateral ligament tear with damage to his syndesmosis in the closing stages of the match against 1. FC Union Berlin. This was confirmed by extensive testing at the UKE Athleticum. Omari will now be out until 2026.
Fabio Vieira also picked up an injury in Berlin on Sunday evening and underwent equally extensive testing at the UKE Athleticum. The 25-year-old midfielder, who has started three games in a row since joining HSV, suffered a badly bruised knee and will now slowly increase his workload depending on the level of pain.
