One-game ban for Miro Muheim
The left-back is set to miss the trip to Stuttgart following his dismissal in last weekend’s game against FC Augsburg.
The German Football Association (DFB) have handed Miro Muheim a one-game ban for unsportsmanlike conduct. The 28-year-old was sent off in the 64th minute of HSV’s most recent Bundesliga game against FC Augsburg for denying Anton Kade a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Referee Deniz Aytekin showed the left-back a straight red card – a decision which has since been ratified by the DFB and has resulted in a one-game ban. HSV have accepted the ruling, meaning the suspension is now official.
Miro Muheim has featured 27 times in the Bundesliga this season and has clocked in the second-most minutes of playing time with 2,335. Only Nicolai Remberg has played more than him. The Swiss full-back captained HSV in each of the last four Bundesliga games, but will not be available to do so again this Sunday against Stuttgart. However, he will be available once again in time for the Nordderby against Werder Bremen on 18th April.
