PATRIC PFEIFFER SIGNS PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT

THE 18-YEAR-OLD DEFENSIVE TALENT HAS HAD HIS YOUTH CONTRACT CONVERTED INTO A PROFESSIONAL DEAL AND EXTENDED UNTIL 30TH JUNE 2021.

Yet another academy player has signed a professional contract with HSV. 18-year-old Patric Pfeiffer signed his first professional contract today (2nd November) – a deal which runs until June 2012. His previous youth contract was due to expire in 2018. "Patric has impressed during training sessions with the first team. He has developed very well and fulfills all the requirements to break into the senior team," said sporting director Jens Todt following the announcement.

Pfeiffer joined HSV from Bramfelder SV in the summer of 2013 and has progressed through the youth ranks at the Rothosen ever since. He currently plays in central defence for the U19s in the A-Junioren Bundesliga, who currently lead the table, and has started all nine fixtures this season. He also made two appearances for the Germany U18s in April and May.

The 1.95cm tall defender has trained regularly with the first team in the past few weeks and will eventually become a fixed member in the Bundesliga squad.
