Robert Glatzel unavailable for the foreseeable future
The 31-year-old centre forward suffered a muscle strain in his thigh during Sunday’s match, and won’t be able to step out onto the pitch again this year.
Robert Glatzel sustained a muscle strain in his right thigh during the home game against VfB Stuttgart, it has been determined after thorough examinations at the physio department at the Volkspark. The 31-year-old centre forward will be out of action for the rest of the calendar year 2025.
Glatzel made his first starting appearance of the season in the 2-1 home victory against VfB, netting his first Bundesliga goal for HSV to put the Rothosen ahead in the 17th minute, before being forced to come off in the 34th minute, having picked up the injury. Everyone at Hamburger SV wishes ‘Bobby’ a full and swift recovery.
