Seven Rothosen on international duty
A number of HSV’s senior and youth players are back in action for their national sides this week, including captain Yussuf Poulsen, who has received his first call-up of the year. Centre-back Luka Vuskovic is back in the Croatia senior side, as well as being named in their U21s squad.
The final international break of 2025 is upon us and once again Hamburger SV is being represented on the global stage. Four players will join up with their nations’ senior sides, while there have also been call-ups for three academy players. Miro Muheim (Switzerland), Giorgi Gocholeishvili (Georgia), Yussuf Poulsen (Denmark) and Luka Vuskovic (Croatia) will all be in action this week, with Fabio Balde (Portugal U21s), Hannes Hermann (Germany U20s) and Moritz Reimers (Germany U19s) also heading off on international duty.
HSV captain Yussuf Poulsen will make his first appearance of the year for the Denmark national team, as thigh problems have so far prevented him from adding to his tally of 87 caps. The 31-year-old’s last outing for his country was almost exactly a year ago on 18th November 2024, in a 0-0 draw in the Nations League against Serbia. Meanwhile, Luka Vuskovic is in the same position he was for the last international break, as he joins up with the Croatia senior side for their first match before switching to the U21s ahead of their EUROs qualifier against Hungary.
Daniel Peretz won’t feature for Isreal this time around. The goalkeeper has been allowed a week off following an agreement with his national side and HSV, as he prepares to get married on Tuesday, November 11th in Tel Aviv. He will spend the week following an individual training plan.
