Sven Schipplock will play for Darmstadt this season. HSV have announced that the striker has joined them on loan for the impending 2016/17 season. The deal was concluded on Wednesday August 17, after he had and passed the obligatory medical examination the previous day: “We wish him good luck for the coming season and plenty of playing time”, said HSV club boss Dietmar Beiersdorfer after the deal had been sealed. Game time at HSV would have probably been rare for Schipplock given the new signings made during the summer break and the competition among strikers already at the club.. Schipplock, who has 116 Bundesliga appearances to his name joined HSV from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim last summer and made 21 appearances for them. During that time he had four assists but no goals to his name.
