Winter travel plans: First Schalke then Lagos

The location for HSV’s winter training camp has been decided, with Portugal being the preferred option for Dieter Hecking and his team as they prepare for the second half of the 2. Liga season. ‘La Cascade’ hotel in Lagos in the Algarve has been chosen due to its top-notch facilities, with two high-class football pitches right next to the hotel complex. A friendly is planned whilst in Portugal, but the opposition as well as date/time of the match can not yet be confirmed.

Whilst the details of that tie remain unclear, HSV fans can look forward to a friendly against one of Germany’s biggest teams a few days before the team departs for the Algarve. FC Schalke 04 are the visitors to the Volksparkstadion on the 10th January, with kick-off at 6:00pm. Tickets for the game will go on sale on Thursday (28th November), with tickets costing €10-20.
