CONTRIBUTION REGULATIONS

Lifetime membership is available for the following areas:

The membership fee is payable as a one-off payment before membership begins. There is no admission fee for lifetime membership.

Once the membership application has been submitted, the specified amount will be invoiced and must be transferred by the applicant to the account provided. Only once the fee of €1,887.00 has been paid will the lifetime membership become valid and the welcome pack, containing a certificate, membership card and personalised scarf, be dispatched.

Lifetime membership of Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V. can commence on a date of your choice. The desired start date must be on the same day as, or after, the date of application. Lifetime membership becomes valid upon payment and is therefore effective retrospectively.

Lifetime membership is personal to the member. It is not possible to transfer lifetime membership to a third party. Upon termination of the lifetime membership, the member is not entitled to a (partial) refund of the membership fee paid. Lifetime membership applies only to the sponsorship categories mentioned above. To take part in the sporting activities offered by Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V., the fees for the relevant sports department must also be paid.

Membership fees are due on the 1st of January and the 1st of July each year. Half of the annual fee is collected by direct debit on the 1st of February and the other half on the 1st of August. For new members, the fee is due on the date of joining. The admission fee is deducted with the first direct debit.

In addition to existing memberships, every member (both supporters and amateur players) has the opportunity to support the HSV women’s football section with a sponsorship contribution of €18.87 per year. The sponsorship fee is collected on the 1st of August each year. For new subscriptions taken out by the 15th of January each year, the fee is collected as a one-off payment in February for the current season. The regular notice periods set out in the club’s constitution apply to the cancellation of the sponsorship fee. A pro-rata refund is not possible in the event of resignation on the 31st of December of any year.

¹ The exemption from membership fees applies only to the HSV Kids Club. Children exempt from membership fees cannot benefit from this membership (e.g. pre-emptive right, magazines). From the age of 5, a membership fee of €32.00 is charged for the HSV Kids Club.

² The reduced membership fee applies, regardless of age, to school pupils, students, apprentices, people in voluntary service, people with severe disabilities, pensioners and the unemployed. To qualify for the reduced membership fee, written proof of the relevant personal circumstances must be provided and renewed automatically upon expiry without being asked; otherwise, the membership fee will be automatically increased. No reductions can be applied retrospectively.

³ A family membership comprises at least three people. A family consists of at least one parent or guardian and all children up to the age of 18 living in the same household. Family members who have reached the age of 18 are automatically switched to an individual membership (at the full rate).

The membership fee comprises the club fee and the section fee. Regardless of the number of memberships held in the various sections, the club fee is payable only once a quarter. If a member belongs to more than one section, the membership fee is calculated as follows.

Membership fees are due at the start of each quarter and are debited the following month. The admission fee is due on the date of admission and is debited with the first direct debit.

⁴ The reduced membership fee applies, regardless of age, to school pupils, students, apprentices, people in voluntary service, people with severe disabilities, pensioners and the unemployed. ¹² Membership can only be arranged in person with the course leaders. Only those who present valid proof of social and integration benefits are eligible to take part in the courses.
