"The boys have great energy"
Hamburger SV scored a very convincing 4:0 away win against FC Ingolstadt 04. The HSV professionals were correspondingly happy after the final whistle.
The loud cheering echoed for a long time in the Audi Sportpark, where the HSV fans set the tone from the start and for the entire duration of the game. And so did the HSV team, who played a very dominant away game and rewarded their supporters with goals from Kittel (27th), Schonlau (29th), Glatzel (57th) and Kaufmann (81st) in a highly deserved 4:0 away victory over FC Ingolstadt 04. The HSV professionals were correspondingly satisfied after the final whistle. The comments on the game.
Sebastian Schonlau: It was a deserved victory. At the beginning, it was difficult to find the gap against the deep-standing Ingolstadt team. But when we quickly scored the 1:0 and 2:0 goals, it gave us confidence. We can take a lot of positives with us. The good feeling is in the foreground today. We want to take this into the coming training week.
Daniel Heuer Fernandes: We were very dominant from the beginning until the end. Ingolstadt made the spaces very tight. It's always difficult to play the opponent, but we got better and better as the game went on. We can be very satisfied today and want to take the conviction we showed over 90 minutes with us. We are confident in our game, our team and our way.
"We have the mindset that only finals are coming".
Robert Glatzel: "Today we were more consistent up front and at the back than in some games in the previous weeks. We hardly let anything happen at the back and took our chances early on at the front and scored the goals. That was good. We simply have the mindset that now only finals are coming. That's how we approach it and we did a good job again. A big compliment also to the fans, they have given us outstanding support today, as they have done in the last few weeks. Now we're really looking forward to the home game against Hannover in front of lots of fans. That will be really cool!
Tim Walter: Compliments to my team! We have been rewarded for our work today and for what we work on day after day in training. Our game is very multi-faceted, and that showed again today. Recently, we scored a few goals from distance, but today it was counterattacks and chip balls that we played in high. We had a versatile and really good game, we also played longer balls into the top of the net. The boys do it well, they are very variable and have a really great energy. Together with the fans, who really pushed us again today, something can really grow together and develop.
Rüdiger Rehm: I think HSV deserved to win, although we had our chances in the early stages. But HSV exuded incredible dominance and let us run around a lot. The team has a high quality that we couldn't really stand up to. I'm disappointed because we wanted to get more out of this game, but we were too wait-and-see and not proactive enough, so HSV got this clear victory too easily overall.
