You can find all the important information about your stadium visit here. Please note that, before every HSV home match, we also send all ticket holders the current information by email and publish it on HSV.de.
General information: We recommend that all stadium visitors use public transport to get to the stadium. If you are travelling by car, please allow enough time for your arrival. It’s better to arrive at the stadium 30 minutes early than to get frustrated by traffic jams and full parking lots later.
If you are arriving by car, please make sure to avoid 'Schnackenburgallee'. Due to long-term roadworks and the long-term closure of the parking lot 'Braun' (refugee accommodation and site facilities for the ‘Deckelbau’ project on the A7), there are significant traffic disruptions in that area. Exception: You have a parking ticket/label/disability parking permit (aG) for parking lots 'Gelb' and 'Weiß'.
Getting there by public transport: All HSV tickets include a ticket for free use of the HVV. The ticket is valid across the entire HVV network. As well as using the HVV with an HSV season ticket and Print@Home tickets, this is also possible with digital tickets since the 2025/26 season. You can find the relevant information here.
Getting there by S-Bahn | shuttle bus: From 120 minutes before kick-off, in collaboration with the HVV, HSV is providing a shuttle bus service from Stellingen and Othmarschen S-Bahn stations. The service is free of charge.
Getting there by bike: There is a bike parking area between the parking lots 'Gelb' and 'Weiß' on Uwe-Seeler-Allee. In addition, there are numerous bike racks in front of the Barclays Arena where you can park your bike.
General information: The public parking lots 'Rot' and 'Grau' open four hours before kick-off. Please note that their capacity is limited and that spaces may be fully occupied if you arrive less than 45 minutes before kick-off. The current parking fee is €10.00.
Parking at the HVV's P&R parking lots: Ticket holders can park their cars free of charge at the following P&R car parks on match day and travel to the stadium using the HVV ticket included with their match ticket:
- Schnelsen: Pinneberger Straße
- Elbgaustraße: Elbgaustraße/Dammstraße 104
- Bergedorf: Johann-Meyer-Straße 58
- Harburg: Hörstener Straße
VIP parking: Access to the parking lots 'Gelb' and 'Weiß' is available 180 minutes before the kick-off.
Stadium opening: The Volksparkstadion opens 120 minutes before kick-off on match days. This applies to both the VIP areas and the stands. All guests may use all entrances to the stadium. Only during certain home matches with a higher security classification may the South-West entrance be used exclusively by ticket holders for the guest area.
Tip: It can get quite busy at the entrances 60 to 30 minutes before kick-off. If you want to avoid queues, please arrive earlier.
Permitted items | permitted bag size: Please note that only bags or backpacks up to DIN A4 size (height 29.7 cm | width 21 cm | depth 15 cm) are permitted inside the Volksparkstadion.
In addition, it is prohibited to carry items that could be used as weapons or projectiles. Click here for stadium regulations (in German).
Questions about your tickets: If you have any questions about your ticket, the HSV ticketing team will be happy to help you at the North-East entrance (HSV Ticketbox) and at the South-East ticket booth from 120 minutes before kick-off.
Referee tickets: Free tickets for referees are exclusively available following prior registration via the HFV (Hamburg Football Association). Click here for further information.
Fan shop: The HSV Arena Store at the North-East entrance and two sales containers (behind the West Stand and at the South-East entrance) open when the stadium opens, 120 minutes before kick-off, and remain open until after the match. There are also two sales vans outside the stadium (on Uwe-Seeler-Allee in front of the North-East entrance) and at the North-West entrance.
Medical service: At the Volksparkstadion, the ASB (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund) is responsible for first aid. First-aid stations are located in the four corners of the stadium, behind blocks 22A, 28A, 8A (family block) and 14A (guest block). In an emergency, please inform the security staff.
Lost and found: All lost property from the match day is handed in at the HSV Service Centre. Please feel free to contact us by email at service@hsv.de. If you have found an item yourself, please hand it in to security or directly at the HSV Service Centre (entrance North-East).
Foods and drinks at the stadium: HSV’s caterer, Aramark, provides food and drink to all visitors at the Volksparkstadion on match days. You’ll find a varied selection behind the West Stand on the Westplaza. The kiosk on the middle tier beneath Block 09B offers exclusively vegetarian and vegan options.
Offers for children and families: Around the HanseMerkur family block, you’ll find plenty of activity options for children and families. Whether it’s kicker tables, hitting the target or face painting, there’s something for everyone. Just have a look around behind blocks 08A/B/C once the stadium opens.
If you have any questions regarding your stadium visit, please feel free to contact the HSV Service Centre by telephone via the HSV hotline on 040/4155-1887 or by email at service@hsv.de.
On match days, you can contact HSV on 040/4155-1887 from 9 a.m. until kick-off.
You are also welcome to contact us in writing – service@hsv.de.
