Stadium Tour
Tours of the Volksparkstadion are available multiple times a day, with the tours also available in English. Entry to the HSV Museum is also included in the ticket price free of charge.
During the stadium tour, our tour guides give you a look behind the scenes at one of the biggest and most atmospheric stadiums Germany has to offer. During the tour you can gain an insight into the history of the stadium that was rebuilt at the end of 20th Century on the same site as the old Volksparkstadion, and the stories that have been created on the famous HSV pitch. The tour guides are able to do the tour in German and in English, all you have to do is let your tour guide know at the beginning of the tour that you speak English and they will be more than happy to provide anecdotes and information in English as well as German during the tour.
As well as showing you the standing section of the Nordtribüne, where the HSV hardcore stand during games, the tour takes you through the VIP boxes and press box in the East Stand and down into the press room where press conferences are held after the match, as you can pretend to be Dieter Hecking answering the journalists' questions! The trip continues down into the catacombs of the stadium, past where the HSV bus parks on matchday, and into the mixed zone and the away team's dressing room, giving you an idea of what it looks like on a home matchday for the Rothosen. The tour comes to a fitting end as you walk out of the player's tunnel onto the hallowed turf with the club's hymn 'Für immer HSV' playing over the speaker system.
The ticket for the stadium tour also includes free entry to the HSV museum, where the displays are also in English. You don't have to register for a stadium tour, all you have to do is find the museum desk (Museumkasse) in the club shop, which is by the north-east entrance to the stadium (Eingang Nord-Ost), where you will be able to buy tickets for the tour.
If you would like to book a private stadium tour in English then you can find out more information about it here.
Due to the current situation, the size of the groups for the tours are limited to 9 people, and we ask that you wear a mask for your nose and mouth for the entirity of the tour. Your tour guide will explain the other hygiene regulations before the start of your tour.
