The Hamburg-based amateur club HEBC will play its first-round match against Borussia Dortmund at HSV’s ground. The Eimsbüttel-based side will have to play the match against the Bundesliga vice-champions at a different stadium because the Professor-Reinmüller-Platz (capacity: 2,500) does not meet the DFB’s safety requirements.
Demand for HSV tickets remains as high as ever. As many home matches sell out within a short space of time, advance booking dates offer fans the best chance to secure their place at the Volksparkstadion well in advance. Keeping an eye on these dates increases your chances of experiencing the special atmosphere of an HSV match day live and becoming part of the blue, white and black community.

Your digital HSV match ticket entitles you to a free HVV KombiTicket for your journey there and back on match day (Zones A–F, 2nd class).
From the 2025/26 season onwards, you will need to generate a separate HVV ticket online in advance, as your match ticket alone will no longer be valid as a travel ticket on buses and trains.
1. First, you’ll need the ticket number.
2. Open the page hsv.ride-ticketing.de in your browser (if you want to use your hvv KombiTicket as a Wallet Ticket, it’s best to open the page directly on your smartphone).
3. Enter the ticket number and click ‘Check’.
4. Single tickets
• If you have entered a valid ticket number, a message will appear stating that a KombiTicket has been found.
5. Season tickets
• If you have entered a valid ticket number, a message will appear stating that a season ticket has been found. A separate hvv KombiTicket must be created for each home match. The HVV ticket can only be created once the match has been scheduled.
• Click on ‘Go to ticket’ for the match you want.
6. Enter the first name, surname and date of birth of the person who will be using the ticket, then click ‘Activate KombiTicket’.
7. Your hvv KombiTicket has now been created. Click ‘Add to Apple/Google Wallet’ at the bottom. If you’ve opened the page on a PC, you can alternatively print the ticket using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P.
If you have bought several tickets, you will need to repeat the process for each individual ticket. To do this, tap ‘Back’ at the bottom of the screen and then ‘Activate another KombiTicket’ at the top. For tickets from the same invoice, the ticket numbers differ by the last digit.
You can activate your KombiTicket for the first time right up until kick-off. You can transfer your hvv KombiTicket to another person at any time until 23:59 on the day before the match.
The HSV online ticket shop at www.hsv.de/tickets and the HSV hotline on 040 4155 1887 are the only legitimate and official outlets through which you can purchase tickets for HSV’s home matches.
The dates published on hsv.de for the start of each ticket sale therefore mark the earliest possible time at which tickets can be purchased.
Among the providers on this unauthorised secondary market that we consider particularly dubious are, in particular, Viagogo and StubHub. HSV disapproves of their business practices, does not cooperate with any of these platforms, and expressly advises against purchasing tickets via these or any other platforms. Tickets purchased on these platforms are invalid and do not entitle the holder to entry to the Volksparkstadion.
HSV offers all ticket purchasers the option to return their tickets. There is therefore no valid reason to resell tickets via this or any other unauthorised platform.
